Shelby and Scott’s wedding day was filled with love, laughter, and an abundance of true and raw emotion. Scott and Shelby, who met in college, are the sweetest couple who absolutely adore one another. They are each other’s BEST friend. I actually met Shelby through her brother. She was so pleased with his senior photos that she contacted me to inquire about her wedding! My time with Shelby and Scott during their engagement session allowed us all to bond and I came away feeling like I had gained two more wonderful friends. They had ROCKED their session and I knew their wedding day would not disappoint. These two are surrounded with so many people who truly LOVE them. Their families and sweet friends are their biggest fans. Shelby and I have something in common and so my heart strings were pulled on even harder, because we both had to endure losing a family member way too early. Shelby lost her sweet father at a young age and so her mother, brothers, family, and family friends played a huge role in the wedding. Shelby showered those closest to her with all of the love that is humanly possible. She had a first look with her mother and brothers and several dances with the men who have been such a positive influence Shelby’s life.  I  almost lost it before the ceremony when I watched Shelby and Scott exchange letters. Tears starting rolling down my face, because the moment was so sweet and precious. Just observing their facial expressions and their body language solidified the fact that God has a purpose for these two and he brought them together for a reason. Piedmont Club was the perfect setting for their outdoor nuptials and even though the rain came right before Shelby was to walk down the aisle, the ceremony was briefly paused only to be welcomed by the most beautiful rainbow. Shelby looked breathtaking in her wedding gown adorned with a beaded and crystal belt and Scott looked so dapper in his suit, I can only imagine what he looks like in uniform! Swoon! The white and red florals, the deep blue bridesmaids gowns all paid homage to Scott’s service in the military. I loved how they incorporated these patriotic colors. Did you see the tables decorated with frames? Those frames told stories of Shelby and Scott along with all kinds of details that makes them so unique as a couple. I am so thrilled for these two. I know they are going to have an amazing life together filled with so many exciting adventures. Congratulations, Shelby and Scott! xoxox
